Same old story..

It seems that blogging time has slipped through my typing fingers lately and I can do nothing but blame a hectic life (is my life really hectic ? He..he..) and work commitment. Same old story eh..?
When I got back from work and after going through series of jam along Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Loke Yew & Jalan Cheras, I will usually feel totally exhausted and my brain is sitting in a haze of tiredness and numbness. I found solace & comfort by reading the Quran after my Maghrib prayer. Currently, I am at Surah An-Nur (Juzuk 18) and hope to ‘khatam’ before Ramadhan arrive. I would switch my profession to a ‘know all’ teacher later in the evening. I would be teaching mathematics the first half of the evening and becoming ‘ustazah’ tutoring Abg Long on the tafseer of the first five verses of Surah Al-Baqarah later. The teaching and tutoring would of course in a ‘tarzan-like’ tone for the purpose of enhancement of the teaching ambience. He..he.. I've found myself finishing my evenings by watching my favourite channel, either AXN or AFC. Monday nite would be House nite (used to be Amazing Race nite as well, no teacher’s nite for Monday), Tuesday nite is CSI New York nite, Wednesday is CSI Vegas & Friday Nite would be errr.. Keliwon Nite (ni TV3 product). He..he..Around 11 p.m., the TV would be watching me instead and I’ll be in Land of Thousand Dreams, only to be awakened by my guilty conscience at 3:00 a.m…..”ASTAGHFIRULLAH, TAK SEMBAHYANG ISYAK LAGI…”

Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Kajang Carnival

The gang at the fruit stall

Persatuan Kanak-kanak Istimewa Kajang or better known as PKIK is a learning institution for special children where my special son, Imran receives his education under Early Intervention Program there. At present, they are renting several shop houses at Kajang Utama for their daily learning & physiotherapy activities. Last year PKIK purchased a piece of land somewhere along Jalan Reko Kajang & they intend to build their own building so that all their activities and relevant facilities are centralized there. Currently, they are in the process of raising fund for this building as their saving had been utilized for the purchase for the land. One of the activities that had been carried out was PKIK carnival which was held on Sunday, 19th April 2009. We, the parents were encouraged to participate by selling coupons prior to the carnival and also opening stalls during that event. After much contemplation, yours truly decided to sell cut fruits because it didn’t involve this mummy sweating in the kitchen. Ha..ha..ha.. Little that I know, selling cut fruits was not as easy as I thought. All this ‘selling fruit stuff’ began on the day before the carnival i.e. Saturday. My other half had promised to accompany me to Chow Kit early Saturday morning to procure those fruits but since our ‘tru blu’ workaholic had ‘accidentally’ scheduled a meeting with his client that very morning, he had ‘sweetly asked’ me whether could I go to Chow Kit alone. No way… I’m not going to lug those heavy fruities alone. So, instead of going to Chow Kit early morning, we are lugging those fruits to our car in the midst afternoon. Anyway, many thanks to the kind-hearted ‘apek’ who had willingly helped us and refused to accept our ‘token’. (Maybe he had profited a lot from our purchase... He...he...) Not only buying fruits, we also bought the relevant accessories i.e. fruit peelers (we don’t have those at home), another chopping board and a special ‘spatula’ to assist in the process of ‘de-seedling’ the guava. He..he.. Gigih tak kita org ? Was contemplating to buy the fruit display box but then it was quite expensive and not worth buying as it would be only a one-off usage. We decided to borrow our ‘caterer’ neighbour’s chafing dishes (minus the lid & the burner of course) & well, it looked quite presentable too. My dear maid and my sister, Hepi helped with the peeling & the cutting of those fruits. My kitchen smelt like fruit stalls that weekend. Oh, by the way fruits available for sale on that day were watermelons, pineapples, guava, mangoes and papaya. On the day of the carnival, people started setting their stalls / booths as early as 8:00 a.m. but we only arrived at 10:00 a.m. as we had tonnes of fruits to be peeled and cut that morning. (Ha..ha.. mcm banyak sgt.) We could not start the ‘peeling’ & ‘cutting’ process the day before. Those fruits won’t be as fresh as we wanted them to be. It was a little bit ‘kelam kabut’ when we were setting up our stall. Anyway, as the day went by, it became better. Enjoy the pics as I think I’d done writing. He..He..

Monday blues....

Been on leave since Friday.... Imran was not well on Thursday night.. Had terrible fever...So, mummy had sleepless nite attending to my baby...Brought Imran to GIMC on Friday afternoon. Bump into my ex-officemate. Tried to make eye contact with her but it seemed that she tried to ignore my effort of acknowledging her.. Why ahh... Don't think she 'hutang' me any thing.. He..he..Maybe she was intimidated by my Gucci bag or the Guess jeans I was wearing. Or the fact that I could afford to bring my kid to GIMC.....He..he... tersgt lah gedix bunyinyer..Anyway, both bag and jeans are fake and treatment at GIMC is covered by the Employer.. Saya makan gaji, manalah termampu nak beli 'designer' bags.. He.he.. Weekend was literally hot. Not going anywhere because the kids will be having their mid-year exam this week. Hannah surprised me with cupcakes that she bought from her teacher for Mother's Day. The boys were their usual self. Not bother with Mother's day.. Anyway, bought for my mum and MIL handbags for Mother's day.. Attended my weekly classes with hubby at Masjid Kajang on Sunday morning.. Bump into the usual kakak who updated me on cerita Ikan Bakar at Sungai Tekala. All Sunday food are being bought from outside as mummy were so lazy to cook in the hot kitchen. Am updating this from office. Gotta chow now. Boss is calling for discussion..

Kalau dahi tak cecah sejadah....

I have a blog finally...I'm not so much of a writer. Never had journals or diaries before..Me and journals don't click..I also seldom jot down my meetings or appointment. He..he.. Anyway, for my first posting in this blog, I would like to share a poem that emotionally moves me. This poem is often broadcasted in IKIM.fm. after Maghrib adzan. Usually I listen to it while driving back home from work. The title is "Kalau Dahi tak cecah sejadah..."(If the forehead never graze the praying mat).He..he.. direct translation.

Bersihkanlah dirimu sebelum kamu dimandikan!

Berwudhu'lah kamu sebelum kamu diwudhu'kan!

Bersolatlah kamu sebelum kamu disolatkan!

Tutuplah rambutmu sebelum rambutmu ditutupkan!

Dengan kain kafan yang serba putih!

Pada waktu itu tidak guna lagi bersedih....

Walaupun orang yang hadir itu merintih....

Selepas itu kamu akan diletak di atas lantai....

Lalu dilaksanakanlah solat Jenazah
Dengan empat kali takbir dan satu salam
Berserta Fatihah, Selawat dan doa....

Sebagai memenuhi tuntutan Fardhu Kifayah

Tapi apakah empat kali takbir itu dapat menebus....

Segala dosa meninggalkan solat sepanjang hidup?

Apakah solat Jenazah yang tanpa rukuk dan sujud...

Dapat membayar hutang rukuk dan sujudmu yang telah luput?

Sungguh tertipulah dirimu jika beranggapan demikian....

Sucikanlah dirimu sebelum kamu disucikan!

Sedarlah kamu sebelum kamu disedarkan.. ..

Dengan panggilan 'Izrail yang menakutkan!

Berimanlah kamu sebelum kamu ditalkinkan!

Kerana ianya berguna untuk yang tinggal....

Bukan yang pergi!

Anyway, I will try to translate this poem to English when I think I'm poetically equipped He..he..and when I have the time. That's all for now..Toodles..
